This 10 out of 10 tutorials is about consistency and reliability of the robot when accomplishing 5 missions in a row. We explore how we move between mission models. The programming is in the previous tutorial, here we look and discuss the behaviour of the robot
This video tutorial demonstrates an attachment that flips a mission model. The mission model is attached to the field, but it contains a lever. This lever must be flipped from one side to the other. There is a switch. We use a pinless active attachment with gear wheels, and you can see how this works in the tutorial. There is no use of sensors as we don't need them. We will leave the alignment and positioning for some other tutorials.
In this video tutorial, we demonstrate how to complete M12, M13, and M15 of the FIRST LEGO League 2023-2024 MASTERPIECE Challenge. We use the MiniBox, a robot built from LEGO Education SPIKE Prime.
To complete the missions, the robot rotates the chicken to trigger the M12 Virtual Reality Artist, pushes the M13 Craft Creator to release the creation, and collects the M15 LEGO minifigure. After completing all tasks, the robot detaches its attachment and leaves it on the field for a faster change at the base. Let's take a look!
This video tutorial focuses on accomplishing M13 Change Shipping Lanes, and partially M09 Unexpected Encounter and M12 Feed the Whale of the FIRST LEGO League 2024-2025 SUBMERGED Challenge using the Nautiq box robot (a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robot).
In this run, the robot flips the shipping lane model, collects the small Krill, and retrieves the Unknown Creature from the field by pushing on the mission model. These tasks are executed with precision to ensure that the robot not only scores the primary mission points but also safely returns the collected elements back to base. The sequence is optimized to minimize travel time between missions while maintaining accuracy and control over the robot’s attachments.
We use a pinless, three-in-one design attachment for completing multiple missions in one run. At the front, an angled rubber band mechanism handles M13 Change Shipping Lanes, allowing the robot to launch straight from base without extra positioning.
On one side, a passive curtain mechanism like a cage captures the single Krill for M12 Feed the Whale. On top, a secure basket catches the Unknown Creature from M09 Unexpected Encounter after a push with the robot’s back. The attachment is optimized for quick and reliable mission execution without additional motors.
This is a 10 out of 10 tutorial in which we accomplish M04, M14, and M15 of the FIRST LEGO League 2023-2024 MASTERPIECE Challenge. We use the MiniBox, a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime box robot. The goal of the robot is to consistently and reliably deliver the LEGO minifigures to their designated place and then press down the M03 platform to trigger the immersive experience for the viewer in the mission model.
This is a 10 out of 10 tutorial, where we demonstrate the consistency and reliability of an attachment activated when we reach the mission model. We do not use a motor. We activate the attachment by pushing the robot to the mission model of the FIRST LEGO League 2021-2022 Cargo Connect Home Delivery Mission.

This video tutorial focuses on accomplishing M15 Research Vessel of the FIRST LEGO League 2024-2025 SUBMERGED Challenge using the Nautiq box robot. In this series of test runs, the aim is to complete 10 out of 10 flawless retrievals, with the robot successfully latching onto the vessel and pulling it back to base every single time.
In this video tutorial, we take a closer look at completing M04, M05, M14, and M15 of the FIRST LEGO League 2023-2024 MASTERPIECE Challenge competition. We use the MiniBox, a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime box robot equipped with several attachments. The robot needs to accurately drop the mini-figures and the Masterpiece mission model, then rotate the Augmented Reality Statue to reveal its experience—efficiently and predictably.
This is a precise drop tutorial where we demonstrate how to accomplish the FIRST LEGO League 2021-2022 Load Cargo mission that requires us to precisely drop a cargo into the drain. It is not an easy task, but it has a trick. A trick that allows us to 'shake' the cargo a little bit. The attachment is also auto-correcting to improve consistency. Use this principle whenever you need to drop things.
In this video tutorial, the MiniBox box robot accomplishes M08, M14, and M15 of the FIRST LEGO League 2023-2024 MASTERPIECE Challenge robotics competition. The MiniBox is a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime box robot, designed to use detachable attachments, which helps make the runs faster. Let’s take a look!
This is a 10 out of 10 tutorial on accomplishing M04, M05, M14, and M15 of the FIRST LEGO League 2023-2024 MASTERPIECE Challenge competition. The robot needs to accurately drop the mini-figures and the Masterpiece mission model, then rotate the Augmented Reality Statue to reveal its experience—efficiently and predictably, 10 times in a row. The robot is the MiniBox, a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime box robot with several attachments.
In this video tutorial, we demonstrate a configurable attachment used for accomplishing a FIRST LEGO League 2021-2022 Cargo Connect mission called Sorting Center. The mission model has three cargo objects that are placed randomly. The attachment is configured before the run based on the configuration of the cargo objects. This attachment is also very powerful as it aligns and auto-corrects the errors that the robot is making by squaring the robot.
In this video tutorial, the MiniBox box robot accomplishes M14 and M15 of the FIRST LEGO League 2023-2024 MASTERPIECE Challenge robotics competition. The robot is a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robot. In this run, the robot delivers the LEGO minifigures to their designated places.
In this video tutorial, the MiniBox robot accomplishes M08 and M09 of the FIRST LEGO League 2023-2024 MASTERPIECE Challenge robotics competition.
The MiniBox, a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime box robot, uses a detachable attachment to release the camera down the track for M08 Rolling Camera. Then, with a slight turn, it pulls the M09 Movie Set boat model and positions it in its designated spot. Let's take a look!
This video tutorial focuses on accomplishing M05 Angler Fish, M09 Unexpected Encounter, M10 Send over the Submersible, and M11 Sonar Discovery of the FIRST LEGO League 2024-2025 SUBMERGED Challenge using the Nautiq box robot (a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robot). The run uses three attachments in sequence: an aligning attachment at the start to reduce initial inaccuracies, a front attachment for solving M05 and M10 while collecting krill, reef segments, and the water sample, and a back attachment for solving M11, delivering the unknown creature for M09, and collecting plankton and seabed samples.
The front attachment is particularly interesting in this configuration because it integrates two color sensors and one motor directly onto the attachment itself. These sensors are used to align the robot to the black line near M10, while the aligning attachment at the start ensures a precise launch position.
This version of the big run takes on significantly more missions in a single attempt than a standard sequence, which naturally comes at the cost of reduced accuracy. In the current FLL competition format—where only your best score from three attempts is counted—this trade-off can be highly strategic. A run that works perfectly even just once can yield a massive point boost, making this kind of high-reward, lower-consistency approach a potential game-changer for teams willing to take the risk.
This video tutorial focuses on accomplishing M02 Shark, collecting the trident for M14 Sample Collection, and collecting a Krill for M12 Feed the Whale of the FIRST LEGO League 2024-2025 SUBMERGED Challenge using the Nautiq box robot (a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robot). In this series of test runs, our goal is to achieve 10 out of 10 successful attempts, meaning the robot completes all three missions flawlessly in every trial.
The robot uses a pinless attachment with locking beams for stability, enabling it to push the shark into its habitat, trigger a drop wall to catch the Krill, and lower a motorized arm with rubber parts to grab the Trident. This efficient approach ensures consistent results across the attempts while maintaining stability and precision throughout the runs. You can watch the full explaining tutorial here.
This video tutorial focuses on accomplishing M01 Coral Nursery and M03 Coral Reef of the FIRST LEGO League 2024-2025 SUBMERGED Challenge using the Nautiq box robot (a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robot). The run uses a pinless motor-powered attachment specifically designed to raise the coral tree to the coral tree support while delivering reef segments outside the launch area. This attachment was chosen after testing multiple designs, and it proved to be one of the most reliable solutions for this task.
The motor-driven lifting mechanism is mounted using long axle pins due to the gearwheel’s position, and a heavy brick is added on top for extra sturdiness, preventing the attachment from popping off during operation. On the side, a simple holder secures the three reef segments collected in previous runs for easy delivery during this mission. This combination allows the robot to lift the coral tree smoothly, place it accurately, and complete the reef segment delivery in a single, well-coordinated sequence.
This is a 10 out of 10 tutorial on a basic approach for one of the unique challenges in FIRST LEGO League competitions. This basic approach to a solution is not very consistent, and in some of the next tutorials, we will present a new solution. But we decided to record it to demonstrate how reliable this attachment is when it comes to carrying large objects. That could give you ideas of things to avoid.
This video tutorial demonstrates how the MiniBox robot completes M11 and M15 of the FIRST LEGO League 2023-2024 MASTERPIECE Challenge season. The robot is a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime box robot, equipped with a mechanism to rotate the M11 Light Show tower. However, we've opted for a more interesting approach. Let's check it out in the video!
This video tutorial focuses on accomplishing M01 Coral Nursery, M02 Shark, M03 Coral Reef, and M04 Scuba Diver of the FIRST LEGO League 2024-2025 SUBMERGED Challenge using the Nautiq box robot (a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robot). The run uses a two-part pinless attachment designed to complete multiple missions in a single sequence. The small angled surface mounted under the robot flips the coral buds from M01 and pushes the shark from M02, while the front arm catches and delivers the Scuba Diver from the coral nursery to the coral reef support.
The back section of the attachment flips the coral reef from M03 using a friction-pin mechanism that stays straight during travel but drops the horizontal arm at the mission model to push the yellow plate and raise the coral reef. Extra axles on the front arm prevent the Scuba Diver from falling during delivery, ensuring reliable scoring. This coordinated multi-mission approach maximizes efficiency by combining pushing, collecting, and delivering into one smooth run.
This video tutorial demonstrates how the MiniBox accomplishes four missions - M06, M07, M14, and M15 - of the FIRST LEGO League 2023-2024 MASTERPIECE Challenge robotics competition.
It may seem challenging to achieve all of this in a single run, but with careful planning and solid programming, success is within reach! The robot is a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime box robot, equipped with rubber bands and various mechanisms. Since this is our final run, we can leave the robot on the mat, saving some time. Let's dive in!
In this video tutorial, the MiniBox box robot is accomplishing M02 and M15 of the FIRST LEGO League 2023-2024 MASTERPIECE Challenge robotics competition. This robot is a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robot that uses a detachable attachment and rubber band mechanism to achieve its goals.
