In this video tutorial, we accomplish two missions from FIRST LEGO League 2023 MASTERPIECE. We have to deliver one minifigure and we have to deliver two more minifigures to a specific place on the field. And it's part of a larger run, so we are breaking the run down. Let's see how it goes. Start from base. We deliver, precisely drop, and we deliver again. A very interesting way we've put the minifigures in a container, and we deliver these containers to the exact place on the MASTERPIECE, FIRST LEGO League 2023, on the MASTERPIECE field. Use containers whenever you can. It's a good idea to have containers, and these containers will help you deliver in a more precise way. A couple of words about the robot and the attachments and how they work. We want to do a detachable attachment. Check out this detachable attachment. We put it on the robot, and the moment we activate the gear wheel, if we activate it in one direction, if we turn the gear wheel in one direction, it will push on the attachment and it will fall. But if we do it in the other direction, it will keep it. It's a really interesting way to build a detachable attachment. You just rotate the gear wheel in one direction, it doesn't fall. In the other direction, it falls. It detaches the attachment. Again: one direction,
and in the other direction. A very powerful way to build detachable attachments. And the other way to build detachable attachments is to use axles. And when we move back with the robot, there will be some friction between the container and the field, and the robot will detach the attachment. The issue here is there are some rubber bands. You can check in the building instructions, not rubber bands, but these rubber parts from LEGO. And with them, we create some additional friction. Now, try to reproduce this.
