Even though officially retired, EV3 is still powerful and ideal for legacy users or advanced learners looking for more control and flexibility.
This set has been retired but is nearly identical to SPIKE Prime electronically. Slightly fewer structural parts, but great if you already own one.
VEX IQ is competition-focused and classroom-proven. Less common at home, but if you own one, great learning resources are available.
You can start with the Scratch at Home course while you’re waiting for your robotics sets to arrive - it only requires a computer and is a great way to begin learning the basics of programming through fun, interactive games.
Once you're comfortable or ready to explore more, we recommend trying the free Demo Course. It's part of our Learn at Home program and offers a guided introduction to building and learning with LEGO Education SPIKE Prime.
From there, you can move on to more advanced courses that require different robotics sets such as LEGO SPIKE Prime, MINDSTORMS EV3, Raspberry Pi, or VEX IQ. Each course is designed to be engaging and age-appropriate, helping learners build skills step-by-step.
Learn how to program the interactive game "Keep 'em Clean" using Scratch. The game uses your computer’s camera to detect motion, allowing players to control characters without a keyboard or mouse. No robotics kit required, just a computer!
This demo course invites children to build simple constructions to spark curiosity and creativity. While optional coding tasks are included, the focus is on hands-on play and encouraging fun, meaningful interaction between parents and children.
This course introduces the SPIKE Prime set with 7 step-by-step 3D builds and programs that bring your robots to life—from simple movements to object detection. Advanced tasks offer extra challenges and encourage creativity and experimentation.
Wondering how to guide your student in learning robotics at home - or simply asking, 'What should we build next?' This course provides a guided way to learn from home - at your own pace, with hands-on projects that make learning robotics engaging and structured.
Jump into daily robotics with A Robot a Day Keeps the Questions Awake (Version 2.0) - a flexible, self-guided course that sparks curiosity and builds skills at home. Perfect for beginners or budding engineers, it’s designed for independent learning with minimal parental help.
This course is a great introduction to electronics, Python programming, and the world of AI. You’ll program a smart RC car using a Raspberry Pi and explore how it can 'learn' to navigate using sensors. It's perfect for curious minds ready to dive into real-world applications of coding and robotics.
Yes, we teach children not only in over 74 countries, but also in our own homes - as educators and as parents. We believe in learning through play, shared experiences, and quality time together. From practicing reading to building models like the Mighty Coffee construction, these everyday moments are part of how we learn and grow together.
