FLL 2023: 10 out of 10 on Push, Deliver, Drop - MiniBox Box Robot accomplishing M03, M14, M15 Pro Preview

This is a 10 out of 10 tutorial in which we accomplish M04, M14, and M15 of the FIRST LEGO League 2023-2024 MASTERPIECE Challenge. We use the MiniBox, a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime box robot. The goal of the robot is to consistently and reliably deliver the LEGO minifigures to their designated place and then press down the M03 platform to trigger the immersive experience for the viewer in the mission model.

This is a 10 out of 10 tutorial where we have to deliver, precisely drop, and we have to press down. And it's from MASTERPIECE 2023. Let's start. A couple of things you should know: This is a part of a mission run that includes six missions, I think. And we've decided to just cut the program and start from here. But in the full-mission run, you can see the robot actually getting here to the mission models and accomplishing them. But to keep the tutorial shorter and to demonstrate the attachments, we are starting the robot from here. But in the full-mission run, you can see it starts from base. What do we do here? What's important for the consistency and reliability of the robot? First, we can see that when the robot starts, it aligns to the border. In this way, we know where we are on the field because the robot aligns to the border. This is crucial, especially when this is the third part of a multi-mission run. It's very crucial to align to something, to the mission model, to the border, to a line, and then to continue. The second thing about this particular set of attachments is that they are detachable. You can see that when we precisely drop the two minfigures, and we also press down on the mission model with the orange lever, both attachments fall down from the robot. Our goal is to leave them on the field. If you want to build detachable attachments, this is how you do it. Third thing: we've decided to accomplish the mission with a purple minifigure where we have to press down. There are a couple of ways in which you can accomplish this mission. You can press down on the orange lever here, and we are doing this with this mission, with this attachment and robot, the MiniBox box robot. But there are also other ways to accomplish this mission. Check out the other tutorials that we have for this competition, and there are one or two more ways in which we accomplish this mission. You can see that the robot is quite consistent. It's very accurate and reliable. Move, rotate, engage, accomplish. Try to reproduce the behavior of the robot. Build the mission model or the alternative mission model. If you don't have the exact parts, we've provided an alternative. Build the attachments, build the robot, start it from here. And try to reproduce the exact same behavior. See how successful it will be on your side. Hope this is helpful! And I'll see you in the next tutorial.
