FLL 2024: Managing many attachments in base Pro Preview

In this tutorial, we share a tip for organizing robot attachments in the FIRST LEGO League challenge. By designing attachments to hook onto the table edge, you can keep them close at hand for quick swaps, saving time and reducing mistakes.

Options include building hooks into the attachment design or using small separate hooks. This method is used by many teams and is a practical way to stay organized during competitions.

In this video tutorial, we want to discuss something that we noticed. It's very useful when attachments are built. It's useful to build them in such a way so that you can attach them to the board of the table, and in this way you can hang them there. And it's useful because you can manage them. You can have a lot of them near you, and it's faster to pick them up, to leave them, to change them. So if you manage to build the attachments in a way that you can keep them near you, you'll be able to change the attachments faster, to be easier to organize them.

So there are a couple of ways we figured out to do this. We can have additional parts that help us attach the whole attachment to the table,

like hooks.

If we can, we use the attachment. If we can't, we can use a small hook and just attach the attachment there. Try to use it. We've seen it with a couple of teams that are also using this approach. It's useful and it's a nice way to organize the attachments.
