LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3

The M07. SPACE WALK EMERGENCY is one of the most interesting missions in FLL the we've even seen. This video tutorial demonstrates a mission run for Mission 07 Emergency Walk in FIRST LEGO League 2018-2019 Into Orbit robotics competition. The tutorial contains only the mission run on the field. We accomplish a single mission. 

Following the Advance Light/Color sensors calibration for a minimum value for a single sensor tutorial, in this one, we continue with finding the maximum value detected by a sensor and storing this value in an array.

You may have seen that the robot rarely reaches a far area on the field after making a few maneuvres.

The Gyro sensor in LEGO Mindstorms EV3 sets is new for the sets and we answer basic questions about its usage. The sensor detect when the whole constructions turns at a particular angle, but there are a number of gotchas in using it.

The field where the frog will jump needs only some tape to mark the location of the eggs.

The program starts with a 3-second wait and a sound signal. Students should wind the legs of the frog backwards during these 3 second and leave the frog by the eggs when the signal is given.

The following two tasks aim at helping students find out the sign of the wait block.

Finally, the program ends by rotating motor D forward until it reaches more than 0 degrees after which it should stop. And again, be careful with the ports :).
