The low reliability of a robot that uses only green motor blocks is due to a few factors, some of which are:
- Different starting position in the base;
- Difference between the two physical motors and deviation from the straight line (bad synchronization);
- Change in the battery level of the robot resulting in a change of the turns of the robot;
- The lashback in the gears of the motors.
In order to neutralize these and other unforeseen factors, you can use alignments with your robot.
Alignment is the process of making the robot parallel to an object on the field. You may also find the term "squaring" of the robot
That object may be a wall, a sturdy mission model or a line.
After the aligning, the next few maneuvers of the robot will be perfect, as if the robot has just started from the base.

Navigation on the field using the walls
Introduction
In the section Navigation without sensors, we already evaluated that the robot is not very consistent with its positioning on the field. In this section, we will learn how to square the robot to walls or solid objects on the field and remove some of the errors that have occurred during the maneuvers up to that point.
