On the Disk Image for the perfect course containing our modified Ubuntu Mate version, there are some special programs that will start a diode when you turn on the Raspberry Pi.
The first mission you ever accomplish when working with current and electronics is to get a lamp, working. In our case, it won't be a lamp, it will a diode. Using a few batteries we should be able to "turn on" the diode and make it emit light.
After we've turned on the diode by connecting it to the batteries it is time to do the same thing, but with a diode connected to the Raspberry Pi. So it will be the Raspberry Pi that is controlling when and how is the diode turned on. Because of the Disk Image that we've burned on the SD card we would have the diode blinking when the operating system is turned on.
When you have a group of students you should make sure each of them could connect the system and turn on the diode.
Burning, destructing, disassembling could all be quite funny for the students.
In a class of students, every Raspberry Pi that is started for the first time will be visible in the Bluetooth connections as "PerfectPi". This is inconvenient when you have a class of students. Students will not be able to tell if they've connected to their Raspberry Pi or to the controller of another student.
