We are here to help. So there are a couple of things you could do.

As a teacher, you should be prepared and get in touch with us in advance if you can not identify the plus and the minus.

It is time to do the first destructive thing in the course. Disconnect the cables from the controller. After this step, there is no going back. This is the most important decision you will face. The world depends on you. The future of the universe depends on you. (But if you make a mistake you can always solder the cable back :)) 

When cutting the cables it is important to be very careful with the students. They can not make a great mistake, but they have to use scissors and knives to cut the cables.

We need to extend the cables to be able to connect them to our Raspberry PI. We must also add new connectors at the end of the cables.

Should we use lighters in the classroom?

In the set for the Perfect Course, you have 3 different type of cables. They are called Breadboard Jumper Cables. We would need to use them to extend the default cables on the car and to connect the car components to our new controller

We kind of have to put this Teacher's Note. This is how the cables are referred to. 

In the set, we have M-M, M-F and F-F. It is important that we use M-M or M-F when stripping because we would need the M end to place it in the driver.
