In this video tutorial, we carry, deliver and drop a large object with an attachment that is much more stable than the basic. We get out of the base, and we actually carry the model. This attachment is also auto-correcting as it has a guiding beam at the front, and even when the robot makes a mistake, we can successfully accomplish the mission.

In this video tutorial, we demonstrate an attachment that is activated when we reach the mission model. That means the attachment is not activated by a motor but by the movement of the robot. We accomplish the FIRST LEGO League 2021-2022 Cargo Connect Home Delivery mission model, where we have to move and bring cargo to the mission model and leave the cargo there.
In this tutorial we demonstrate how a Flip Mission could be accomplished with a Flip Attachment. The robot attachment could be adapted to other flips in FIRST LEGO League/World Robotics Olympiad and other robotics competitions. The principle is the same. The tutorial uses Luly, small LEGO Education SPIKE Prime competition robot with 3D building instructions as a robot base.
As we are already off the season we decided to look back at the competition. First, we will take a look at the working solution for FIRST LEGO League 2017 Manhole Cover. This was generally accepted as one of the most difficult missions during the competition. We've built a single attachment to accomplish it.

There are a few main challenges with box robots and in the following tutorial we would like to resolve them. Read on and let's see how we could do this.
Here we start with a second box robot that we would like to build. It is in a way improvement to the first robot and we would take a look at its features.
With the shape of a box it is very easy to align this robot to different wall and to add very stable pinless attachments to it. The goal of the video is to discuss this feature of this particular robot construction.
We should how to build a frame that could hold the attachments for specific competition missions. This frame is added in a pinless manner. This means very fast and easy without any glitches of the pins.
In this video we discuss how do we transfer power from the motors that are "inside the robot box" to the gear wheels that are "outside the robot box".
This is the first Active Pinless Attachment for the Box competition robot. The attachment is placed on the top of the robot and is controlled by one of the motors.
One more example for an active attachment with a system of gear wheels. This time the system is constructed so that the attachment could lift heavy objects.
Without the use of any motor, you can still accomplish a number of missions using passive attachments. You can still pull/push on different levers using only a beam or two connected to the frame.
Rubber bands in the LEGO Mindstorms sets are very handy when it comes to collecting objects, especially loops. The mechanism most of the time could work like this - an axle is pushed, a rubber band is released and a lever collects the loop.
Pinless attachments are smart and quick and could make a big differences between two robot constructions. In this video we are sharing a nice idea for a pinless attachment placed below the robot.
In this episode we look at the way this robot is balanced. A well-balanced robot could handle heavier attachments without losing track of its position on the robotics competition field.

This is a third example for adding an active attachment. This third attachment is now connected to the wheel at the front of the robot. Again, the attachment could be easily extended.
Based on feedback from many of you in this episode I would like to show you how to build an active attachment that changes the orientation of a gear wheel placed vertically to a gear wheel placed horizontally. This attachment could be used in competitions and shows a basic principle of changing the orientation. All attachments could follow the same principle.
Need to transfer circular into a linear motion. You need a rack. Here is an attachment with a rack for our box robot.
The attachment builds on previous episodes this time using two LEGO rubber bands. When a lever is released the rubber band exerts pressure on it and moves it in a circular motion. As an example we are solving the 2012 FIRST LEGO League, Senior Solutions, stove mission (which was quite interesting as a mission)
In this tutorial, we share a tip for organizing robot attachments in the FIRST LEGO League challenge. By designing attachments to hook onto the table edge, you can keep them close at hand for quick swaps, saving time and reducing mistakes.
Options include building hooks into the attachment design or using small separate hooks. This method is used by many teams and is a practical way to stay organized during competitions.

Each year the FIRST LEGO League robotics Competition involves loops. In this video tutorial I will go through the most common way of taking loops, show its disadvantages and suggest another way to do it.
