In this tutorial, we would build a simple program for controlling the Tetrix robot motors with the GamePads. We use the stick and when the stick is pushed forward the motors move forward. When it is pushed backwards the robot moves backwards.
Following the principles from the previous video, try to make the attachment that you've built, more stable and durable.
How to help students implement long programs.
In the current course we would use a number of languages. Generally we would program the robots in EV3-G, but we would also program them in JavaScript to make the parallel with the JavaScript. The programming would include arrays, switches and loops.
In this video tutorial we demonstrate how to accomplish M03, M04, M14, and M15 of the FIRST LEGO League 2023-2024 MASTERPIECE Challenge competition. We use the Chain Monster which is a LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robot equipped with two pinless active attachments.
The side attachment uses a gear mechanism to press down a lever and drop the mini figures with loops. It has a more advanced construction with a special lock to prevent the attachment from rotating when mounting it on the robot. Pay attention that the lock should be removed before the start of the run.
We use a special construction to help us align the robot in the base to ensure the robot starts from the same place every time.
This is a recording of a completely perfect, 10 out of 10 accomplishment of a two-part mission - Train tracks, from the FIRST LEGO League 2021-2022 Cargo Connect competition. Due to the proper use of motion and color/light sensors, the robot is 100% consistent and reliable for a non-trivial mission. Even when the robot makes a mistake, it auto-corrects and compensates for this mistake.
In this video tutorial we continue the exploration of pinless attachments and how to add them and remove them in a quick fashion. We've done this for SPIKE Prime and for EV3 and we will provide some other references in the lesson in the course.
