The goal of this lesson is to introduce students to the setting for measuring the reflected light of the color sensor and to recall how to follow a line.
The video shows why you should not build attachments such as "Crappy Active Attachment For SUV Box Robot". In the video one can see how the knob gear wheels start "jumping", once a force is applied to the lever.
This video tutorial shows how the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Rider Robot Motorcycle with Cart robot works. You can ride a friend with you.
This video tutorial shows how the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Handlebar Chopper Motorcycle robot works. See how fast it is.
This video tutorial shows how the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Shotgun Motorcycle robot works. The robot is a sligh modification of the Ninja motorcycle because it has assiting wheels
Devi is a stubborn robot. No mater how many times you press the button, it will press the button last. It if you press again, it will press again. Sometimes it will rotate and speak, but will again press the button, and will continue pressing until the end of times.
One of the students' favorite LEGO Mindstorms robots. Have fun with Iqazator, moving over all kinds of obstacles as a real millitary tank machine.
Third wheel experiments, changes in the robot, students could choose the task all by themselves. Make sure you have a lot of fun and students complete their tasks. Here is what you should know when conducting this class.
The telephone game played with LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robots relies on the Color Sensors and the detection of colors. Sometimes the robots won't work. They could be influenced by a number of factors like the position of the sensor and the lighting in the room. This tutorial is a demonstration on how to account for and resolve this issue.
The Telephone game is played with 2 or more robots and is extremely funny. Each robot has a color wheel that can be rotated through the medium motor and a color sensor. The first robot on the left rotates the color wheel to a random color. The second robot must detect the color on the wheel and rotate its color wheel to this color. The third detects the color wheel of the second and so on.
It is described in details in Lesson 4 of Level C2. Cooperation
Here is Mintonet. The robot is created to be used in pairs, but you can also build just one and practice your shooting with a box. The robot works with plastic balls between 5 and 7 cm. Using the ultrasonic sensor it can detect either its partner or a box and then it shoots. How many balls can you score?
LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Crane robot is used to lift, move and load cargo on a cargo truck. There is a mechanism for grabbing a cargo load (eg a blue ball). Crone is also a tower crane and there are balancing wheels on the opposite site of the grabbing mechanism. It was an ultrasonic sensor.
Here is Iknathir - a LEGO Paper Plane Launcher. Just take a piece of paper, fold it to create a paper plane, place it on top of Iknathir, press the lever forward and the plane will be launched in the air. If you are not sure how to make a paper place, we got you covered! Just go to the following tutorial - How to make a simple paper plane. Feel free to experiment with the structure of the plane. How far can your plane go?
Sweeper - a special vehicle designed for cleaning streets, pavements, and runways. The first sweeper is believed to be a construction patented on September 4, 1849 in the United States by CS Bishop, it was pulled by a horse cart. Until the end of the 19th century, 315 solutions for sweepers have been patented in the USA. The first sweeper with its own drive was patented in the USA in 1868.
The robot is equipped with two motors, one for each side. As a result, whenever the robot turns, it always follows an arc path. The size and radius of this arc can vary depending on the turn.
You as a parent have registered your child to robotics classes. Now you have to make sure he/she can login on FLLCasts.com and open the first lesson of the course before the first class. If you have forgotten your password, we will help you reset it.
This video tutorial shows how the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Ninja Motorcycle robot works. It's a nice demonstration with the robot moving forward, backward, and slightly to the left and right.
Every teacher in a group must have a picture and contact phone number. Here we help you set up these attributes.
Here is Turtle - a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robot that is designed to look like a sea turtle (may look clumsy but it's not). It has two sensors - ultrasonic and gyro, capable of following its course and navigating through anything. It can even get "angry", if you annoy it too much.
