In this video tutorial we continue the exploration of pinless attachments and how to add them and remove them in a quick fashion. We've done this for SPIKE Prime and for EV3 and we will provide some other references in the lesson in the course. The idea of an attachment below the robot is that sometime, during FIRST LEGO League competitions we have to bring a mission model from one place of the field to other. Basically push it.

This is an animation of a quick pinless attachment that is placed below the robot and is used to deliver parts, like the Container Mission model, to different parts of the field. In the live video in the lesson we explain more about the principles, while here in the animation you can get a quick overview of how it works and you can try to follow the same principles for an exercise.

With this animation we demonstrate an example for a quick pinless attachment that could be used to collect loops. Loops is one of the most common missions at FIRST LEGO League competitions. We use the LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor set to build the attachment, the mission model and the robot. They are all from the same attachment. In the live video in the same lesson we enter into more details about the attachment and we describe its idea

The video shows why you should not build attachments such as "Crappy Active Attachment For SUV Box Robot". In the video one can see how the knob gear wheels start "jumping", once a force is applied to the lever. 

One attachment to rule them all...We have seen it and it works -> solving most of the competition models with only one attachment. In this video tutorial without programming we would walk you through the principles and methods of using a single attachment for most of the FIRST LEGO League competition models. One can learn alot from using as few parts as possible to solve as many missions as possible.

Pinless attachments are smart and quick and could make a big differences between two robot constructions. In this video we are sharing a nice idea for a pinless attachment placed below the robot.
