- LEGO Education SPIKE Prime
- LEGO Education SPIKE App Word Blocks - Scratch, LEGO Education SPIKE App Word Blocks 3, Teacher's Note
In this lesson, students learn why the starting position matters. At the beginning, you can spark discussion with a few fun questions, such as how color can be used to communicate. You might also explore other forms of non-verbal communication. Feel free to have fun with this part, depending on the time you have.
The first programming task is important to set up carefully. The task is simple: "Program the robot to reach the goal position." You will decide which color the students should aim for. Most students will program the motor to turn a specific number of degrees. However, if they start from a different position, the robot will not land on the correct color. That’s the key takeaway - the starting position must be consistent. There are several valid ways to build the program, but this is the approach we expect most students to use:

Level C2 - Cooperation - Robotics with LEGO SPIKE Prime
The sixth level of the Robotics with LEGO curriculum is designed for students in third or fourth grade.
For the first time, two different robots are required to solve a challenge. Students learn how to cooperate, agree on a shared plan, and divide their roles. They build a variety of robots, including a crane that loads a sorter. Students also use two sensors at the same time to locate their target and to check whether their partner robot is ready to complete its part of the challenge.

Lesson 4 - Telephone game
Introduction
Today we are going to construct robots which will play the telephone game. Have you ever played it? What's the funniest word you've heard transform?

You all probably know how to play this game. The first player thinks of a word and then whispers it to the next one and so on. By the end of the line the word has become completely different and everybody has a lot of fun. How are we going to do that with robots? Instead of words, our robots will use colors and instead of ears – color sensors. The first robot shows a color to the next one which shows the same color, or at least tries to do so, to the next one and so on. Pay attention that robots should stand still although they are equipped with wheels.
