In this lesson, students have the freedom to build and program their robots with the goal of winning the sumo battle. Ensure they understand the basic rules of LEGO sumo, and consider showing them a few videos for inspiration.
Depending on their readiness, you can introduce them to more advanced strategies or simply let them have fun with their creations. Make sure they have something functional that can at least clash with another robot, and keep an eye on the time they spend building.
The lesson concludes with a program that sends the robot forward, which should suffice for their first sumo battle. More advanced students can work on more complex programs.
