In all building instructions for LEGO robots it is important to have the motors attached to the brick in more than one place. In the following construction, there is a beam connecting the two motors which has exactly this purpose. It makes the construction much more stable. Try removing this beam for example and see what will happen. Would the robot be able to move?

Many different types of wheels could be used. Both NXT and EV3 or from other LEGO technic series.

We had a couple of minutes before starting another robot and we just came up with this robot. If you would like to build a Box Robot, but don't have enough parts this is a good construction that you could learn from. It has a frame. It has three motors. You can add attachments at the top. 

A nice little robot that can tell if there is anything on top of it. It only uses one touch sensor. The idea of the robot is to be used in classes with students to explore different interesting security options. This robot in particular could detect when the object placed on it gets "stollen". Have you ever watched Indiana Jones? :)

The new Spy is a robot with tank treads, which uses one medium motor to turn three things at once. That is achieved by a gear system. Simultaneously the robot turns its two hands up and down, but in opposite directions and its head - left and right.

The robot moves with the help of two tank treads, attached to two Large EV3 Motors.

This is a Camel-like robot. We demonstrate an interesting use of gears to make the Camel walk. Fun and entertaining way to learn how to transform motion.

This robot was first constructed years ago for some of the first classes in LEGO Mindstorms Robotics that we held. It is quite challenging, but nevertheless very rewarding when completed and when you manage to program it to walk. Check it out. 

The GorillaBot walks on its two arms, using two large motors as forearms. It also has this awesome head, which actually is pretty useless as an ultrasonic sensor, unless you lift its eyebrows.

The robot uses two Large Mindstorms EV3 Motors to open and close its shell. On the top of the shell are used four hoses, that can be reshaped to form different shell styles. It also uses two black bent beams for eyebrows, that can be moved to change the expression of the clam. A Castor Ball is used to represent its pearl.

The robot is named after the South Pole–Aitken basin, the largest impact crater in the Solar System that has been discovered on the far side of the Moon.

Astronauts, prepare to enter lunar orbit! This robot comes equipped with a stand that can hold a camera or a phone in order to take a picture of the far side of the moon. If your phone or camera does not fit, the stand can be easily modified to suit your needs. With its two motors, Aitken can make both wide and narrow circles around the Moon to ensure the perfect shot!
