Attach two touch sensors to the brick, only with cable (longer is better). Add some parts to the sensor so that is is easier to hold.

After building the robot, close the box to keep the desk clear.

Gather all the parts from the desk and put them back in the box.
Close the box and move it aside so it's out of your way.

Select 6 sound files from the LEGO folder of the sound block, which sound approximately the same. Which audio files did you choose?

Program the robot to select a random number from 1 to 6, and for each of them to play a different sound file from the ones you selected.

Put your program in a loop block and rename it to "Signal".

Choose one of the six sound files to be your starting signal. Which audio file did you choose?

Program the robot to interrupt the "Signal" loop block after playing the start signal.

Monitoring the touch sensors

After the "Signal" loop block, add a loop block and rename it "Input". In this loop block, the robot will monitor the touch sensors until one of them is activated.

In the "Input" loop block, place a switch checking if the touch sensor on port 1 is pressed. When this is true, have the robot play the "One" sound file.

Insert another switch into the "Input" loop block, that checks if the touch sensor on port 2 is pressed. When this is true, have the robot play the "Two" sound file.

Program the robot to interrupt the "Input" loop block after the "One" or "Two" sound file has been played. This will end the game after activating the touch sensors, regardless if it was the sensor attached to the first or second port.

Start signal flag

Modify your program so that the two loop blocks "Signal" and "Input" start at the same time.

Create a logical variable (flag) at the beginning of your program named "Started" in "False" state (before the "Signal" and "Input" repeat blocks begin). This will be the start flag.

Program the robot to change the state on the "Started" flag to "True" when it plays the start signal. Thanks to this, you will be able to check if the game has started in the "Input" loop block.

After a touch sensor has been pressed, program the robot to check if the "Started" flag has been raised with the help of another switch. If it is raised, have the robot play the corresponding "One" or "Two" sound and interrupt the loop block.

Test the program. If you did everything right, the robot would work the same way it did before programming the parallel actions and the flag.

Create two more logical variables at the beginning of your program, named "Block P1" and "Block P2". These will be the flags that will block the sensors of the cheaters.

Program the robot to raise the "Block P1" flag when the touch sensor on port 1 is pressed, before checking if the start signal has been raised.

Place a third switch in the "Input" loop block, that checks if the "Block P1" flag is raised.

Move the switch checking the touch sensor on port 1 in the switch that checks the "Block P1" flag, so that it only executes when the flag is down "False".

Program the switch for the touch sensor on port 2 to execute only when the "Block P2" flag is down.

Test the game by pressing one of the touch sensors before and after the start signal. Was it blocked?

Before proceeding any further, create a MyBlock from the "Signal" loop block and a second MyBlock from the "Input" loop block. That way they will not take up so much space in your program.

After the starting signal MyBlock, program the robot to wait 2 seconds and interrupt the "Input" loop block.
