A robot a "day" keeps the questions awake. Version 1

"How to use the LEGO robots to facilitate the learning of robotics by my student at home" or simply put - "what to build now?"

After enrolling in this course we will send you a few (1-2-3) emails each month with a title "A robot a 'day'". Each email contains a robot building instructions and/or video tutorials and/or tasks that should be accomplished. After a task is accomplished we might sometimes ask for a video or picture.

This process gives a structure of the learning process where you can learn from the content. The student participates in a course, but from home and on the schedule that you decide.

Laboratory 2.0: LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Robot for Experiments

Laboratory 2.0 is a second and lighter version of the Laboratory. The new version of the robot replaces its motor with a gyroscope and uses a lightweight flip. Programming this robot requires a well-developed abstract thinking. The main purpose of the robot is to measure the volume of the bubble placed in it only by the values measured by the sensors.

The construction has a valve with which you can let the air out of the balloon at different speeds.

How exactly the balloon is placed in the robot is explained in this lesson.

Lander Touch-Down. Mission 15 from FIRST LEGO League 2018 Into Orbit Challenge

Background

Our Lander doesn’t have working parachutes, thrusters, or cushions, but one important feature is realistic … it’s very fragile.

Mission

Get the lander to one of its targets intact, or at least get it to base.

Scores

Move the lander to be intact, touching the mat, and completely in its target circle: 22 OR
Move the lander to be intact, touching the mat, and completely in the northeast planet area: 20 OR
Move both parts of the lander completely into the base: 16
Possible scores: 0, 16, 20, 22

Scoring Requirements

The result must be visible at the end of the match.
The lander is “intact” if its parts are connected by at least two of its four tan location axles.

Box Robot Active Attachment at the top
