The Observatory result depends on the model. Sometimes the pointer is in the orange area otherwise in the white area.
This project is for Yolanda - LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Sailship robot. It contains three programs.
The first one simply moves the robot forward and in the middle changes the sail position.
The second one makes the robot follow the direction of the wind indefinetly, while the robot moves "around an island". The following the direction of the wind is achieved with the gyro sensor and a two-state program.
The third one makes the robot do the same as the second one, but now the following the direction of the wind is done with a 3-state program, which means that it has a state, in which the sails arent moving.

Building instructions for a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robot that we call Space Explorer. The motors are attached in a very interesting way to the brick. Both the brick and the motors are vertical and there are not many robots like this. With its ultrasonic sensor, this robot allows you to follow, find or avoid objects. Just like an explorer. And since it is a robot why not put it in space and call it "Space Explorer".
There is one part that is not from the EV3 sets, but you can actually skip it. You don't need it. Try to find which one.
Using a number of axles, beams and rubber bands we collect many loops at once. This is an important part of every competition, mostly of the FIRST LEGO League.
Today's lesson has no new material to teach the students. Instead, the students should revise and solidify their knowledge and you should focus on those students that are falling behind.
Try your best to teach them agency so that they do not fall behind again.
At the end of the lesson, direct all of the students to the last of the additional tasks.
