This video is part of a series where we show you how our Box Robot accomplished the M07 Swing mission 10 times. This mission has a black and white line parallel right next to it, the only thing you need to figure out is how to avoid the first supporting beam of the swing. The Dominator robot waits to be clear of the beam and then uses the x-y movement of its front mottors to position the lever so it pushes the swing loose. After that the robot moves back and is ready for action again.

This module is made as a grabber that uses a cool mechanism to catch things vertically. It is powered by a medium motor. The grabber is used in Earl Bot - Grabbing and Clearing LEGO Mindstorms Robot without wheels.
The goal of this lesson is for students to exercise with the ultrasonic sensor along with controlling the middle motor. It is important to not the many ways in which gear wheels are used in the robot.
The discussion aims at two objectives. One is for students to understand there is a rotation sensor in the medium motor as well. It works in the same way as in the large motor.
The second objective is to show the difference between a vertical and a horizontal grabber. You can give grabbing a bottle as an example and explain how difficult it would be to catch a bottle with a vertical grabber, as we should have a huge one, and how easy it would be with a horizontal grabber. Nevertheless, if we carry a plate, we should use the vertical grabber as the mission will be almost impossible with the horizontal one.
