FLL 2024: Full run - Nautiq box robot accomplishing all missions Pro Preview

In this video tutorial, we demonstrate a full run for the FIRST LEGO League 2024-2025 SUBMERGED challenge, completing all missions in a single sequence. Each mission is shown individually beforehand, with close-up views of how the attachments work and the principles behind their design. All attachments are pinless, making them quick to change during the run, though aligning and loading the robot still requires practice. The strategy involves moving from one base to the other while accomplishing as many missions as possible, including retrying those close to base when needed.

While the complete run takes longer than the official 2.5 minutes, the focus here is on demonstrating reliability, consistency, and the trade-offs between time and scoring points. In some cases, missions are skipped to focus on higher-value tasks, but in this run, we aim to complete them all. The result is a strong performance that comes close to the maximum possible score.

In this video tutorial, we do a full run for FIRST LEGO League 2024-2025. All the missions in a single run. Let's see how it goes.

We've recorded each of the missions individually and we've demonstrated how each of the attachments works.

There is a point of view for every attachment where we show a close up, zoomed in view of how it works. We try to explain the principles behind the attachments and the whole idea of the strategy. Each of the attachments is pinless. Put them quite easy on the robot.

We move forward from base, we accomplish a couple of missions, we return back to base. Then, we go out of base, accomplish a couple of missions, return back to base. Here we are moving between the base on one side of the field to the base on the other side of the field. As we move, we try to accomplish as many missions as possible. We try to accomplish missions that are like this one, close to base, as single runs. And you see that the mast is not up, which means the mission is not accomplished, which means that we can try again because it's very close to base. We try again, we accomplish the full mission model.

What's really difficult for us is to train to be able to change the attachments fast and to load the robot and to align the robot in the base. This is something that takes a lot of time. So this requires practice. Here we've decided to go with all of the missions. The whole run takes a little bit more time, but it's consistent, reliable. It's not in the 2.5 minutes. But that's also the goal here to show you all of the missions and the balance that we have to make sometimes of what do we do, how do we skip some of the missions.

And as we skip them, we do this because we've decided that we want to accomplish a different mission in the time that we are given. So there is a balance between the time and the points that you can take from each of the missions. But here we just decided to go with all of them. The missions are all separated in different runs. One run could accomplish several missions or several parts of different missions.

Overall, in one of the runs we were able to record it for like 3.40 minutes or something. But it was not accomplishing - like it made a mistake here and there.

Full run - FIRST LEGO League 2024-2025, SUBMERGED. Accomplish all of the missions, get almost the maximum amount of points.

Some mission models not entirely accomplished here and there, but other than this - a very good run.

I hope this is helpful. And I'll see you in the next tutorial.
