Based on your feedback we have decided to show you the live process of building a complex LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Competition robot without having the whole robot ready yet. We are continuing from part 2 where we finished the 'front' of the robot and now we will extend it so that we could also attach the rear part.
In this episode, we introduce a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 version of competition robot construction. It is a modular construction, with medium motor for additional attachments and two light or colour sensors for orientating on the field.
Attachment frames are used on Base Robot Chassis to make it easier to add and remove attachments very fast. This frame is for the Box Robot 1. It is a single module build with LEGO Mindstorms EV3 parts and it could handle attachment on all sides.
The FIRST LEGO League competition is similar each year. With a little experience you could accomplish most of mission. The goal of this episode is to introduce you to the course, its purpose and approach.
This is a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 competition robot used in FIRST LEGO League competitions and used by a team in Brazilian regionals. It followsa Box Robot principle. The robot has passed through the following competitions in Brazil:

It is not entirely "clean" as it has parts of it not optimezed as in the other box robots, but it is a nice example and a great work from the FLL team.

With this attachment we complete the Elevator and Steel construction for the FIRST LEGO League 2019-2020 competition. The attachment is placed on the Whakatae - LEGO Education SPIKE Prime Competition Box robot
This is an active attachment. Active means that is is power by a motor. It's built with LEGO Education SPIKE Prime parts and it demonstrates how to build a lifting attachment for competitions in robotics like FIRST LEGO League/World Robotics Olympiad and others. Lifting is one of the most important parts when accomplishing missions at the competitions. What's interesting is that this attachment changes the orientation of rotation with it's gears. In this FLL video tutorial we accomplish the step counter mission. We use a LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor robot. The idea of the mission is to control the robot in a very precise way so that it could slowly push on the mission model and accomplish it. In the tutorial we demonstrated exactly this slow push, but in a different way.

In this video tutorial we show how you can build robots that position on the field consistently and reliably by following and line and then aligning to a line. We also demonstrate the concept of "double align" which is quite powerful and even if there were some mistakes they will be handled.
