In this video tutorial we accomplish the FIRST LEGO League 2022-2023 SUPER POWERED mission called M04 Solar Farm. We use the chain monster box robot along with a passive attachment that helps us collect 3 of the energy units. The interesting thing about the mission is the collection of the units, of course, but also the way this robot manoeuvres when there is not enough space. It aligns to the lines, it uses the color and motion sensors. Really advance way to align the robot.

In this video tutorial, we accomplish the Solar Farm, where we have to collect these energy units from the Solar Farm from the FIRST LEGO League 2022-2023 SUPERPOWERED. It's the fourth mission in our five-mission run. Here is the robot approaching the mission model, and the mission model consists of just three energy units in the solar farm. As it approaches, we use the front side of the attachment where we will collect. You see how we collect with the attachment, and after we close the container, we have to do this advanced alignment here to make sure we are aligned correctly and can approach the mission on the other side of the mission model, and collect the other units.
One of the most challenging things about this robot and this mission, when collecting these energy units from the solar farm, was that there was not enough space here for such a large robot with such a huge attachment. It's just difficult to navigate. You can hit here the second model or the energy storage or back on the reservoir. It's just difficult. That's why we are using the lines to align the robot and to follow them to navigate. Let's see exactly how we do it. Here it is. This is the fourth mission in our five-mission run, where we must somehow navigate this tight space. That's why we use a lot of alignment. In the programming tutorial, you've seen how we use this alignment. Alright, here, we move, we align to the first line. Then, we move back, and then we must somehow turn the robot around. You see there are some additional alignments there that are happening that help us navigate the robot. I just wanted you to have a close view of this because it might be useful. See you in the next tutorial.

FIRST LEGO League 2022-2023 Super Powered solutions and review with Chain Monster box robot from LEGO Education SPIKE Prime
In this course, we demonstrate and explain example solutions for the FIRST LEGO League 2022-2023 Super Powered competition. Every year, we share our solutions and our comments only after the season is over. The course is centred around MULTIPLE MISSIONS in a single run which is unique. We see runs with 3, 4 and even 5 missions. Then we enter into details around accomplishing the specific missions. You can follow the course, and as you go through each mission, try to replicate the solutions to understand the programs and explanations. This teaches students and teachers the principles of accomplishing missions in every FLL robotics competition and how to help your team score more points.
Before starting this course, we suggest you go through the FIRST LEGO League robot game guide
There is an additional course that does a review for the same competition but with a different robot - the Kriket box robots. It present other principles of building attachments and shows different examples. Check out the other course also.
