How to make parallel threads in LEGO SPIKE Prime Word Blocks software Pro Preview

Have you ever needed your robot to do two things at once? That's called a parallel thread. Here's how to do it in SPIKE Prime using Word Blocks software.

That's done by adding a second block from the orange Events section.

If you have two starting blocks, the blocks under each will execute simultaneously and independently. Be careful not to give conflicting commands to the robot, such as moving forward and backward at the same time.


Additionally, there are other starting blocks besides the when program starts block. These are used for specific purposes, usually involving sensors. Choose the best one for your task. For example, you can make the robot respond when a force sensor is pressed using the force sensor starting block.
