Be strict in the beginning
The robot can make many sounds and show many emotions. We start with a smile to set a productive tone in the classroom.
Later, as the new topics are covered, you, as the teacher, can allow the students to try new things and play.
Make a promise
One trick for the teacher is to make a promise to show something "cool" when all the assignments are done. Then show the "Fart" sounds. You can also show them how to speed up a sound.
This adds a bit of an effort-and-reward dynamic and usually boosts the instructor's authority in the group.
Courses and lessons with this Tutorial
This Tutorial is used in the following courses and lessons

Level A1 - Space Adventure - Robotics with LEGO SPIKE Prime
That is the first level of the LEGO robotics curriculum for second, third, and fourth-grade students.
A "space adventure" but with robots. Different robot structures are built in Level A1. The motors are controlled so that the robots perform precise movements around the "Earth", "Moon" and "Sun". We use the force sensor to overcome various obstacles we bump into. We learn interesting facts about the solar system and space vehicles.

Lesson 4 - First alien contact
Introduction
Today, we will program our scouting robot to show emotions and speak like a human. For this purpose, we will imagine that we are preparing to meet aliens on the planet Mars.
As of now, there is no conclusive evidence of the existence of extraterrestrial beings similar to humans elsewhere in space.
Mars is the fourth planet in the solar system and is quite similar to Earth. Scientists believe Mars could be inhabited by humans in the future. Currently, Mars has a very thin atmosphere and lacks liquid water. The planet is red due to the large amount of iron in the dust and rocks on the surface, and as we know, iron has a rusty red color.
