Varvilina - a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Color Wheel Robot
Building instructions for LEGO EV3 robot with color wheel that can be rotated through the medium motor. The color wheel is at the front of the robot while there is a color sensor at the back. The color sensor could read the color from another robot. The robot can be used in classes with students to play the telephone game.
An example of a program for controlling the robot could be found at https://www.fllcasts.com/programs/kmeat9-ev3-g-myblock-for-rotating-the-color-wheel-randomly

Pesho Bot With Two Bars Lifting Mechanism from VEX IQ
This is the good not so old Pesho Bot Chassis with a "two bars" lifting mechanism and a hand. It can be build with any set. Only the omni-wheels are extra, but what is a good robot without an omni-wheels.
The program for this robot is at programs/a6hrcz-pesho-bot-with-two-bars-lifting-mechanism-controls-with-modkit

Arnold - a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Dump Truck
Building instructions for an EV3 LEGO Mindstorms Dump Truck. The back of the truck can be tilted through controlling the medium EV3 motor so that the load can be dumped at a desired location. Also, the robot has a color sensor to determine the type of load it is carrying.

Cron - LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Crane
Instructions for a simple Crane construction built from LEGO Mindstorms EV3 set. In order to operate properly, you need to add weight at the back of the jib. The most interesting part of the robot is the design of its hand, so examine it closely.

IKEA Billy with a few mission models from FIRST LEGO League 2018 - Into Orbit
Where do you keep your robots? We like to keep them ordered....
Actually we lied. It is almost always a mess wtih boxes and parts everywhere. We had sum FUN building this IKEA Billy and putting some of the FIRST LEGO League Mission Models.

Real Steel Boxing Robot from LEGO Mindstorms
This is a LEGO Mindstorms Boxing robot. The inspiration story goes like this "One day we though - Let's play SUMO at this robotics demonstration, but let's make it more interesting. Let's play sumo with Humanoid Robots". We decided to build a boxing robot. The goal of the robot is to press the touch sensor on the other robot and it could be very fun. Perfect robot for demonstration. It is controlled by a joystick using the Bluetooth connection.
Here are the joystick and the programs for the joystick and the robots.

Attachments For The SUV Box Robots Frame
Here is an example of Four(4) active LEGO Mindstorms attachments built-in the frame. Two by two they work asynchronously since all of them are connected to the two separate middle motors of the SUV robot via the frame.
The left attachments work synchronously, and the right attachments are also synchronized couple.
These specific attachments are meant to do nothing in particular, but to serve as an example. Their purpose is to demonstrate different ways in which one could add an attachments to the frame. Experiment. Think and invent better frame with real world attachments that could actually do efficient work and accomplish a mission. Take a video then and share it with us.

Attachments Frame for SUV Box Robot
This is a frame for the SUV Box Robot. Tis frame is an adapter between the robot and the attachments. You can add-in several attachments on it and mount them on the robot simultaneously with one movement.
The frame has two locks that make the attachments stick to the robot. Also the front Knobs must not be used for very powerful activities due to jumpings, unless the frame with attachments become heavy enough to prevent any jumping of the frame.

SUV Front Active Attachment for Box Robot
This attachment uses a connector ("(98585) Technic Connector Circular With 2 Pin Holes and 3 Axle Holes") with 4 pins to connect with a knob wheel ("(32072 ) Technic Gear 4 Knob") of the robot. Because both elements are parallel one to another there is no jumping effect.
The attachment uses two pins, but it is easy to attach and detach because it uses "(6558) Technic Pin Long with Friction and Slot". When you attach or detach the attachment the slots are keeping the pins strong on to the attachment.
Also an attachment connected to the robot in this way, can be move to the rigth knob wheel or to the left knob wheel.

Simple Pinless Attachment for the SUV Box Robot
This is a simple pinless active attachment for the SUV Box Robot.
In this attachment we use "(32498) Technic Gear 36 Tooth Double Bevel". There are four pins added to the wheel and it it this pins that engage with the "(32072 ) Technic Gear 4 Knob". The more important thing is that the knob wheel and the gear wheel are parallel to each other.
While the motor rotates the attachment has 4 points of contact (instead of one or two when two Knob Wheels are in contact) with the robot knob wheel. There are no forces that drive the attachment to jump and lose engagement with the robot.

Crappy Active Attachment For SUV Box Robot
In this attachment two knob wheels "(32072 ) Technic Gear 4 Knob" engage at 90 degrees angle. One of the knob wheels is a part of the robot and the other is a part of a pinless active attachment. The purpose of this attachment is to demonstrate How NOT to build attachments.
Build the attachment and experiment. See for yourself how it "jumps" up and down when the knob wheels are rotating and you hold the lever by hand.

Space Station Modules. Mission 06 For FIRST LEGO League 2018 Into Orbit Challenge
Background
Space stations allow us to learn about and even practice living in space, but improved technology and new international partners require modules to be easily interchangeable.
Mission
The robot needs to remove and insert modules among the habitation hub’s portholes.
Scores
- Move the cone module completely into the base: 16
- Insert the tube module into the habitation hub port, west side: 16
- Transfer/insert the docking module into the habitation hub port, east side: 14
- Possible scores: 0, 16, 32, 46
Scoring Requirements
- Results must be visible at the end of the match.
- Inserted modules must not be touching anything except the habitation hub. > Needs to be visible at the end of the match.

Observatory. Mission 13 from FIRST LEGO League 2018-2019 Into Orbit challenge
Background
A space telescope is astonishing, but it can’t beat the accessibility and simplicity of a college or science museum observatory – that is, if you know how and where to point it.
Mission
Rotate the observatory to a precise direction.
Scores
- Get the pointer tip completely in orange, or partly covering either of orange’s end-borders: 20 OR
- Get the pointer tip completely in white: 18 OR
- Get the pointer tip completely in grey, or partly covering either of grey’s end-borders: 16
- Possible Scores: 0, 16, 18, 20
Scoring Requirements
- The result must be visible at the end of the match.

SUV Competition Box Robot from LEGO Mindstorms EV3
The Sports Utility Vehicle box robot is the new marvelous box robot that we've created. It is designed for teams that would like to learn how to build balanced, stable and working robot chassis following our box principle. It is smaller and easier to build than box robot 1 and it is more simple than box robot 2.
The main advantages of this robot compared to previous box robots are
- motors in the right direction, so when rotating the motor forward, the robot moves forward.
- it is much easier to attach attachments. There are 4 different gears on which you could attach attachments.
- it has a large clearance - which means that it could move over obstacles.
Of course, it has a Gyro and two Color Sensors. Not only that, but we have all the cables shown in the construction.
When not to use this robot?
The SUV Box robot is design to be used with a Gyro sensor and two Color Sensors for alignment. It is not working well for following lines as the sensors are very high and they are very high to allow for high clearance of the chassis. If you need to follow lines we recommend the Dominator X-Y robot

Young Earl Bot - Simplified LEGO Mindstorms Robot
The goal of these building instructions is to build a simple LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robot without wheels. You should then think of yourself how exactly to add the wheel. Which wheels would you use on the front? How are you going to build the third wheel? Here are for example a few recommendations on building the third wheel - 1, 2, 3, 4
Later on you can expland this construction with a grabber as demosntrated here.
