Building instructions for the Pinless Rubber Band Attachment:

This LEGO Mindstorms Attachment has three gears, one frame and two axles. The goal of the attachment is to use the gears to change the direction in which the motion is transferred.  

This robot attachment in inspired by one of the most interesting missions we've seen at FIRST LEGO League competitions - the Manhole Cover (08th) Mission in FIRST LEGO League 2017-2018 . The attachment demonstrates how you could flip an object. It's built with LEGO Education SPIKE Prime parts and could be used in competitions in robotics like FIRST LEGO League/World Robotics Olympiad. It's designed for Luly, small LEGO Education SPIKE Prime competition robot with 3D building instructions. This is an attachment that could be easily detached after a mission is accomplished. It's built with LEGO Education SPIKE Prime parts and it demonstrates an important principle for building attachments for robotics competitions like FIRST LEGO League/World Robotics Olympiad and others. You move with the robot, you complete the mission and you leave the attachment on the field when the mission is completed. In this way you save time when adding the attachment as it is most of the time pinless and takes a fraction of a second to put it. Swing game is a SPIKE Prime robot that is a game played by two people. The goal of the game is for both LEGO people to reach the center of the swing, without it tipping over on either side. The LEGO poeple are placed on motors, connected to two technic gear racks, that move along the swing. The motors are moved by two controllers, one using a color sensor and one using a Large motor. If one of the LEGO people moves too far without the other doing the same, the swing will tip and game over! Good luck and have fun!

Alice is a lovely little bird, with some amazing mechanisms on her feet. It uses two large motors and one medium one as a head, which drives both its wings.

Background

Space is quiet and beautiful, but with almost no heat, air, nor air pressure, it could freeze, suffocate, and boil you all at once! Help our spacewalking astronaut “Gerhard” get to safety.

Mission

The robot needs to get Gerhard’s body into the airlock chamber.

• Astronaut partly in the habitation hub’s airlock chamber: 18
• Possible scores: 0, 18, 22

Scoring Requirements

• For this mission, the word “body” includes all parts except the loop.
• Results must be visible at the end of the match.

This robot is made to serve the best tea in the whole continent! It is based on the Easy Bot from EV3. As its predecessor it is based on LEGO Mindstorms EV3. It uses two large motors to move around. The best part of the robot is the cup holder, that has a cool cup that shows the KISS principle.

To live away from earth, it would help if we were good at detecting and mining resources under the surfaces of other planets, moons, asteroids, and even comets.

Mission

The robot needs to get all the core samples out of the core site model, then it has options for what to do with them as described here, and in mission M03.

Scores

• Move all four core samples so they are no longer touching the axle that held them in the core site model: 16
• Place the gas core sample so it is touching the mat, and completely in the lander’s target circle: 12 OR
• Place the gas core sample completely in base: 10
• Place the water core sample so it is supported only by the food growth chamber: 8
• Possible Scores: 0, 16, 24, 26, 28, 34, 36

Scoring Requirements

• Results must be visible at the end of the match.
