The course contains a number of sections with specific examples and tasks on how you could improve your FIRST LEGO League (FLL) robot game in order to achieve more points. It is designed mostly for after season teams that would like to prepare for next year, but could also work for teams that are currently working on their competition robots.
FIRST LEGO League (FLL) contains a number of missions. There are three steps to accomplishing the whole field.
You must build a robot base on which you could add different attachments.
You must build a construction/attachment that accomplishes these specific missions and program the robot to reach this mission model.
You must group as many missions as you could in as less runs as you could to save time. Here by “a run” we mean the robot going out of base.
The missions each year are similar and you also lift something, carry something, collect, push. You should use sensors to make the robot position itself on the field and make it more precise. Working on these examples will help you learn different ways by which to approach the next missions.
It is important to define - what is accomplishing a mission – you have really accomplished a mission if the robot works 9 out of 10 times. This make the robot stable, predictable. It is more please and important to have a robot that accomplishes less mission, but does it each time that to have a robot the just sometimes accomplishes more missions.
