Robotics with LEGO - Level 1.0 - Adventure in Space

The first level of the Robotics with LEGO curriculum for students in fifth to twelfth grades.

Various constructions with robots are built. Learn how to control the motors so that the robot navigates around the Moon and Earth in various ways. Getting to know the first two sensors. The robot can feel its surroundings with the help of the Touch sensor and avoid obstacles.
The Ultrasonic distance sensor can help the robot avoid obstacles. Students work with concepts like loop, degrees and medium motor. Robots can now do two different actions at the same time - while solving missions on a field, the third motor clears detected obstacles.

Umjaho - the relay line following robot built with LEGO Mindstorms EV3

Umjaho - from the language of the Zulu tribe. It means "competition"

This LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robot has three sensors - touch, color and ultrasonic. When the touch sensor is pressed the robot starts moving. The color sensor is used for following lines and the ultrasonic sensor is used to detect any robots in front of the robot.

Satellite Orbits. Mission 12 from FIRST LEGO League 2018 Into Orbit Challenge

Background

If a satellite doesn’t have the correct velocity and distance from earth, it can fall, drift away, fail to function or get destroyed by debris. Propulsive adjustments need to be performed with precision.

Mission

The robot needs to move one or more satellites to the outer orbit.

Scores

Move any part of a satellite on or above the area between the two lines of the outer orbit: 8 each
Possible scores: 0, 8, 16, 24

Scoring Requirements

Result must be visible at the end of the match.
