There are constructions, especially on our platform, that you could build partially and then experiment with different ways to complete them. This is a very good exercise for creativity. It is sometimes difficult to build a whole robot from scratch, but finishing the robot with a few wheels and attachments is doable.
These programs are examples of programs that complete the tasks from the third lesson of 3.0 course. The programs are designed for the Vauld Door Robot.
Should the robot be with a Front Wheel Drive or a Rear Wheel Drive to make it more precise? The answer is - front wheel will probably give you better results, but the wheel drive is not the most important thing. In this video tutorial on the LEGO Mindstorms Robots, we will do a few experiments to discuss the influence of the wheel drive on the precision of the movement.
Here is Lintu. It is a marvelous LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Animal robot that looks like Kiwi, the famous New Zealand bird. It is quite rare to see a Kiwi bird in person. But fear not, we've prepare a robot that looks almost exactly like the original.
The first of a series of attachments that we add to a World Robotics Olympiad LEGO Mindstorms Robot. The attachment is an example for collecting ping-balls. The robot and the attachment are in the same construction. The attachment is a base for a container that could be extended.
Take a look at the constructions. Some of the wheels move left and right freely and this is necessary to increase the rates of maneuverability of the robot. Choose wisely. Because if you don't..well you can choose again. No pressure here.
