LEGO MINDSTORMS

In the previous part of the video lesson we showed how imprecise a chain LEGO Mindstorms robot could be if its positioning does not rely on sensors, but only on the use of move block. In this tutorial we will show the same thing, but using robot on tires.

In this lesson we are going to focus on the yellow palette of blocks and see how the rotation sensor reset blocks functions.

In Episode 58 we introduced you to an LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Modular robot. Mic Lowne wrote to us and had that robot remade, because it used too many blue lego pins and could not be build using one EV3 kit.

In the second run Nightbeast team solves different tasks from two missions - M05 Extraction and M06 Space Station Modules:

1. Insert the Tube Module into the Habitation Hub port, west side 
2. Move all four Core Samples so they are no longer touching the axle that held them in the Core Site Model
3. Place the Gas Core Sample completely in Base

How do you lift heavy objects with an attachment? In this episode we show a simple, interesting, but yet not very popular way to lift something heavy with and LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robot and without gears and motors as attachment. As a specific example we are using the Strength Exercise mission from the FIRST LEGO League 2012 competition.
