Mission

The robot needs to send payload rockets (carts) rolling down the space travel ramp. The first cart is preset and ready to go, but the robot needs to load the other two from the base.

• Crew payload rolled down the space travel ramp: 10
• Possible scores: 0, 10, 14, 22, 24, 32, 36, 46

Scoring Requirements

• For each roll, the cart must be independent by the time it reaches the first track connection ramp. > Note: Only allowed method. Must be observed by the referee.
• Start each payload clearly rolling down the space travel ramp. > Note: Only allowed method. Must be observed by the referee.
• As a mission requirement in any mission, the word “independent” means “not in contact with any of your equipment. > As long as the cart clearly rolls independently past the first track connection, it’s okay if it doesn’t roll all the way east.

Calix comes from Latin, meaning cup.

Calix is a robot designed to carry small objects—like a cup—while autonomously following a black line. When most people think about robotics, they imagine machines helping with household chores. Calix is a simple example of that vision brought to life. You can place a cup on it in the kitchen, and it will deliver the cup to the end of the black line!

The robot is powered by two SPIKE Prime medium motors for movement, and it uses a color sensor to follow the line precisely. At the front, a large motor connected to a gear system lifts and lowers the cup, allowing for easy pickup and delivery.

Calix is an elegant demonstration of how even simple robots can be designed to perform useful tasks—making robotics more approachable and practical for everyday life.

Building instructions for a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Ambulance Robot Attachment for the FIRST LEGO League 2013 Nature's Fury robotics competition.    The attachment grabs the ambulance car and slightly lifts it. The rubber bands help with triggering the attachment at the right time

Oh no, the delivery is running late! Don't worry, this warehouse robot made to hold and drag objects is here to help! It uses two medium motors to move around and one for a grabber. The grabber, which is at the front of the robot, consists of two double angular lift-arms that are each connected to a gear.

Background

If a satellite doesn’t have the correct velocity and distance from earth, it can fall, drift away, fail to function or get destroyed by debris. Propulsive adjustments need to be performed with precision.

Mission

The robot needs to move one or more satellites to the outer orbit.

Scores

• Move any part of a satellite on or above the area between the two lines of the outer orbit: 8 each
• Possible scores: 0, 8, 16, 24

Scoring Requirements

• Result must be visible at the end of the match.

This attachment is accomplishing four missions and partly two more mission from the FIRST LEGO League 2023-2024. It is for the Chain Monster Robot. It solve mission 1 - 3D CINEMA, mission 2 - Theater Scene Change, mission 5 - Augmented Reality Statue and mission 9 - Movie set. It partially solves mission 14 - Audience delivery and mission 15 - Expert delivery by taking Sam the Stage Manager to the base and delivering it to the movie set area.
