In the set, we have M-M, M-F and F-F. It is important that we use M-M or M-F when stripping because we would need the M end to place it in the driver.

The "M" end of the cable is placed in the driver in the next step. Use a M-M and strip the M-M or use the M-F and strip the F
Why do we need the "M" end of the cable?
At the next stage of the course, we would have to connect the cables to the driver. The appropriate and convenient way to do this is to use the "M" end of the cable. See picture below how the "M" ends are placed in the driver
This means that we cannot use an "F-F" cable because there is no "M" end of this cable.
Cut the end and strip?
Cut it with scissors or knife. Stip with the lighter.

Stripping set cables to prepare them for extending car cables
In the set for the Perfect Course, you have 3 different type of cables. They are called Breadboard Jumper Cables. We would need to use them to extend the default cables on the car and to connect the car components to our new controller
