These are 3D Building Instructions for the Light Show mission model for the FIRST LEGO League 2023-2024 MASTERPIECE competition.

This is the robot that we use to demonstrate a solution for the World Robot Olympiad 2021 Junior competition. This is a Post season solution. We never release any solutions during the season as this will have a negative impact on the competition.

We started with this robot and it has a few good ideas. It can collect two cars at the same time. We later decided to go for a more powerful robot. Check out WRO 2021 Junior: Slaimi - a post season WRO competition solution robot

We use this attachment to demonstrate the principle of an active attachment. This is an attachment activated from the motor. It has one level attached to it. It could be reused. The attachment transfers power from the motor to the end of the lever and we can accomplish missions like the Power Switch mission from the FLLCasts Off-season mission models.

This is the Little Truckie, but upgraded with an arm so it can teach you to be a good driver with lager number of controls. Now you can drive it and lift things at the same time.

This is the joystick for controlling Real Steel LEGO Boxing Robot. We use the bluetooth connection for communication between the two bricks. 

Background

The chance of a “serious” meteoroid hitting earth in our lifetime is extremely low, but it’s not zero, and the devastation could truly wipe us out. How will scientists and engineers keep us safe?

Mission

From west of the free-line, send one or both meteoroids independently to the meteoroid catcher. “Independently”: see also M01, Section “Scoring Requirements”.

Scores

• Meteoroid(s) touch(es) the mat in the centre section of the meteoroid catcher: 12 each
• Meteoroid(s) touch(es) the mat in either side section of the meteoroid catcher: 8 each
• Possible scores: 0, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24

Scoring Requirements

• The result must be visible at the end of the match.
• The meteoroids need to be sent over the free-line to touch the mat in the meteoroid catcher > Only allowed method. Must be observed by the referee.
• The meteoroids must be hit/released while they are clearly and completely west of the free-line. > Only allowed method. Must be observed by the referee.
• While between hit/release and scoring position, the meteoroid must be clearly independent. > Only allowed method. Must be observed by the referee.
• If ever the ring-set meteoroid is off its ring, you may remove the ring from the field by hand. This is a special exception to the rules.

Advanced LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 Construction. It has two rear motors and it could rotate the whole from part. It has 4 wheels and is kind of like unique in the Mindstorms world.

Building instructions are not very easy and you need LEGO Education Core and Extension Sets - 45544 and 45560. 

Apart from being advanced, it is also quite fun to try to build.

This Kick the ball attachment for Tricky - the Mindstorms 51515 Robot Inventor smallest robot - is one of our favorites. Imagine a LEGO robot playing football. It is dribbling through the center of the field, it enters the box, it strikes and... goooooooal. What a fun game to play at home, if you decide to build Tricky with this kicking attachment.
