SUV Competition Box Robot from LEGO Mindstorms EV3

The Sports Utility Vehicle box robot is the new marvelous box robot that we've created. It is designed for teams that would like to learn how to build balanced, stable and working robot chassis following our box principle. It is smaller and easier to build than box robot 1 and it is more simple than box robot 2.

The main advantages of this robot compared to previous box robots are

- motors in the right direction, so when rotating the motor forward, the robot moves forward.

- it is much easier to attach attachments. There are 4 different gears on which you could attach attachments.

- it has a large clearance - which means that it could move over obstacles.

Of course, it has a Gyro and two Color Sensors. Not only that, but we have all the cables shown in the construction.

When not to use this robot?

The SUV Box robot is design to be used with a Gyro sensor and two Color Sensors for alignment. It is not working well for following lines as the sensors are very high and they are very high to allow for high clearance of the chassis. If you need to follow lines we recommend the Dominator X-Y robot

Странен робот - LEGO робот, който има два мотора, разположени в противоположни посоки

Този LEGO Mindstorms робот е странен. Можете ли да познаете какво е толкова странно? Моторите са разположени в противоположни посоки. Един от моторите гледа „направо“, докато другият – „назад“. Това означава, че ако искате роботът да се движи напред посредством Tank Block в EV3-G софтуера, той просто ще се върти. За да накарате робота да се движи напред, трябва единият мотор да се върти напред, а другият – назад.

Целта на този робот е да научи учениците, че моторите могат да се поставят по най-различни начини. А не само в една и съща посока. Също така, това е много забавно.

Поне така казват хората. Опитайте. Ще можете ли да преминете през ЛЕГО части с този танк, ако те са високи колкото една тухла или две тухли? A robot a 'day'. Work with gears. Lift objects

We are sure you've seen the gears in the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 sets. They are pretty easy to use. Just add an axle and you can now rotate them. Add two gears working together and you can do miracles, like a magician. And if you put them perpendicularly to each other it gets very interesting. This is our goal with the MotoCar robot in A robot a 'day'.

Incrementing and decrementing a variable

Two of the most common operations with variables are adding 1 to the value of the variable or subtracting 1. Those are the cases when we have the variable as a counter. The process of adding 1 is called incrementation and the process of subtracting 1 is called decrementation.
